Privacy policy
This is an English translation for your convenience. The German version is legally binding.

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
earlee, Inhaber Lee Knoeppel
Elisabethstraße 77
40217 Düsseldorf
Germany
Email: kontakt@earlee.de

Full details can also be found in the legal notice.
2. Your rights at a glance
With regard to your personal data, you generally have the following rights:
- Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
- Lodging a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)
The competent supervisory authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany. For any questions about your data, feel free to contact me informally first at kontakt@earlee.de.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany (servers located in Germany). A data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host.
When you visit this website, the host automatically records information transmitted by your browser in so-called server log files: IP address, date and time of the request, file requested, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, and browser type and operating system. This data is used to deliver the website without technical errors and for IT security (e.g. to investigate misuse), and is deleted automatically after a short time. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website).
4. Contact form and 30-second check
If you use the contact form or the short 30-second check on this website, the data you enter (e.g. name, company, email address, optionally phone number, your interest, details of budget and project) is sent by email to kontakt@earlee.de and stored there to handle your request. To prevent misuse, your IP address and the time of the request are also transmitted; a form field that is invisible to humans additionally helps to detect automated spam submissions.
The same applies to the “Quick question?” window in the bottom right corner of the website: your question, your email address and the page you are writing from are sent by email to kontakt@earlee.de. This is not a live chat, and no external chat provider is involved. After sending a request or question, you receive a short confirmation of receipt by email.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request is aimed at entering into a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling requests and preventing misuse). Your data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed to handle your request, at the latest 6 months after the conversation has ended, unless statutory retention obligations apply, for example under commercial or tax law if the request leads to an assignment.
5. Newsletter and free downloads
When you sign up for the newsletter or unlock a free download (e.g. the Shopify start checklist in a blog article), you subscribe to the earlee newsletter with your email address. We use it to inform you about new blog articles, occasionally about news from marketing and e-commerce, and about free downloads. The newsletter is written in German.
We use the double opt-in procedure: after signing up, you receive an email with a confirmation link. Your subscription only becomes effective once you click it. To be able to prove your subscription, we store your email address, the time of sign-up and confirmation, and the IP address used in each case. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted automatically after 30 days. The data is stored exclusively on our host's web server (see section 3) and is not passed on to third parties.
You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter email or informally by email to kontakt@earlee.de.
The legal basis is your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future; the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
6. Cookies, local storage and analytics
This website only uses cookies where they are technically necessary. If you make a choice via the consent banner, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage so that the banner is not shown again on every visit. This storage is exempt from separate consent under Section 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG, as it is strictly necessary to provide the service you have expressly requested.
At present, no analytics or marketing tools such as Meta Pixel or Google Analytics are active on this website. Should this change in future, you will be asked for your explicit consent via the consent banner before any such scripts are loaded (legal basis: Section 25 (1) TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR); without your consent nothing is loaded, and declining is just as easy as accepting. This privacy policy will be updated accordingly in advance.
7. Fonts
This website uses the fonts Inter and Sora. The font files are hosted locally on our own server (self-hosting); visiting this website does not create a connection to servers of Google or other third parties for the delivery of fonts.
8. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the https:// prefix and the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar.
9. Changes to this privacy policy
We update this privacy policy as soon as data processing on this website changes, for example because new features are added. The current version published on this page applies.
